GIS in Education Award

Deadline for submitting nominations is Friday March 16, 2012

Each year, the Delaware Geographic Data Committee (DGDC) honors an educator who has been instrumental in furthering the use of digital spatial data, Internet mapping services, or
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) in Delaware. This is a great way for Delaware K-12
teachers and students, Girl and Boy Scout Troops, 4-H Clubs and other community organizations to honor their GIS leaders. The deadline for submissions is Friday, March 16, 2012. The GeoEducation Subcommittee makes the final selection and the award is presented to the recipient at the annual Delaware GIS Conference, which will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the Sheraton Dover Hotel in Dover, DE.

Eligibility:
All K-12 teachers and administrators in Delaware schools are eligible. Also eligible are student group advisors and leaders of community groups for children.
